Who We Are

UK Music Archive is an independent editorial project run by the Williams family — Mark, Robbie, Georgia, and Taylor Jay. We are music enthusiasts and collectors, not a faceless content farm. Our work is rooted in a lifetime of listening, collecting, and living with British music.

• Mark Williams — Editor-in-chief. Bus driver by day, music archivist by night. Runs Vantage Digital Studio and built ukmusicarchive.com from scratch.
• Robert Williams — Chief correspondent. 60 years of collecting, every Guinness Book of Hit Singles from 1977 onwards. Covers the 1950s–1980s.
• Georgia Williams — Writer and social media. Former Parkdean trouper, covers contemporary pop and soul.
• Taylor Jay Williams — Writer and researcher. Bachelor of Honours in Music Performance and Industry. Covers the Liverpool indie scene and modern British music.

Our Content

Every piece of content on UK Music Archive falls into one of three categories:

• Original editorial — Articles, reviews, and features written entirely by our team. These carry a byline and represent the personal knowledge and opinions of the named author.
• Fact-based reference — Chart positions, discography data, and release information sourced from the Official UK Singles Chart and Big Top 40. This data is factual and verifiable.
• Enriched biographical summaries — Artist biographies that combine chart data with additional context. These are generated from verified data points (chart positions, peak dates, hit counts) and reviewed by our editorial team for accuracy.

Accuracy and Corrections

We take accuracy seriously. Our chart data is sourced directly from the Official UK Singles Chart (1952–present) and Big Top 40. When we discover an error, we correct it promptly.

No Auto-Generated Spam

We do not publish auto-generated content designed to game search engines. Every article on this site was written by a named member of our team. Our artist pages combine factual chart data with editorial enrichment — they are reference pages, not content spam.

Pages that do not meet our editorial standards are not included in our sitemap and are not indexed by search engines.

Advertising

We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Ads are clearly distinguishable from editorial content. Our editorial content is never influenced by advertisers, and we do not accept payment for favourable coverage.
