Nino Tempo

American saxophonist Nino Tempo, often collaborating with his sister April Stevens, registered two entries on the UK Singles Chart in the early 1960s. His highest-charting single was 'Deep Purple', which reached number 17 in 1963, followed by 'Whispering' peaking at number 20 in 1964. Though neither broke into the top 10, both tracks demonstrated his smooth instrumental style and earned him a modest place in UK chart history.
