Wendy And Lisa

Guitarist/bassist/vocalist Wendy Melvoin and keyboardist/vocalist Lisa Coleman are best known for their role in the Revolution, Prince’s backing band in the 1980s.

Wendy and Lisa’s instrumental work (the duo also helped write arrangements) can be heard on PURPLE RAIN, PARADE, and AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY, three of Prince’s classic albums.

When Prince dissolved the Revolution in 1986, Wendy and Lisa began work on their self-titled debut, which was issued in ’87, and boasted their familiar psychedelic pop/dance hybrid.
