Veils

Led by enigmatic frontman Finn Andrews, the Veils built their reputation on a blend of mercurial, witching-hour sonics and soulful rock songwriting.

The English-born, New Zealand-raised Andrews was still in his teens when he signed to Rough Trade, and he led the Veils through a trio of albums during their first decade, including the 2006 highlight Nux Vomica.

On-stage they presented a fierce live act, while in the studio the band's music became increasingly textured and atmospheric, leading to prominent film and television placements with auteurs like Tim Burton and David Lynch.
