Shakespears Sister is a best-selling transcontinental pop duo comprised of singers and songwriters Siobhan Fahey and Marcella Detroit.
Fahey, from Ireland, formed the group as a solo act after leaving Bananarama.
Detroit was a veteran session musician/vocalist who had worked with Bob Seger, Jimmy Ruffin, and Eric Clapton; the latter for five years.
