Sailor

Sailor were formed in the early-70s by singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist Georg Kajanus aka Georg Hultgreen, a Norwegian prince.

Sailor’s sound was augmented by the remarkable nickelodeon, a self-designed contraption featuring two upright pianos, two synthesizers, mini-organs and glockenspiels, all mechanically linked and contained within a wooden frame.

Tours with Kiki Dee and Cockney Rebel helped boost their profile, and Sailor reached number 2 in the UK charts with the sparkling ‘A Glass Of Champagne’.
