Formed in 2012 by Frankee Connolly, Annie Ashcroft, and Nadine Samuels, M.O blend an appreciation of ’90s pop and R&B with their home country England’s affinity for girl bands.

They debuted with a cover of Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine,” and two years later, they released their first single, the brassy, Jess Glynne-written “For a Minute.” In 2016, M.O released two EPs, Good Friends and Who Do You Think Of?, with the title track of the latter becoming a big hit in the UK.

Connolly left the group the following year and was replaced by X Factor contestant Chanal Benjilali; soon after, they reached the charts again with the dancehall-tinged Mr.
