About Labrinth
As a singer, rapper, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, there’s little that the not-so-easily defined Labrinth can’t do, musically speaking.
Born Timothy Lee McKenzie in London in 1989, the multitalented musician hit his stride when, after a couple years of guest spots, production credits, and a remix of Gorillaz’s “Stylo” to his credit, he was noticed by Simon Cowell.
The American Idol and The X Factor judge was so impressed that Labrinth became the first act in six years to sign to Cowell’s multimedia entertainment company without competing on a talent show.
