English singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti picked up the guitar at age 14 when his mother suggested he set his prolific poetry collection to music.

∙ Savoretti invited Sienna Miller to duet on his 2012 single “Hate & Love,” after hearing the actress sing “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” at a party.

∙ Thanks to an emotional performance of “Catapult” on The Graham Norton Show, his 2015 album, Written In Scars, reached the UK’s Top 10—more than a year after its release.
