Self-described “ho-hop” singer and songwriter Eamon scored a global hit with his profanity-laced 2003 single “F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back).” • The son of a Staten Island doo-wop singer, Eamon grew up loving everything from Frankie Lymon and Frank Sinatra to hip-hop.

• When he was 16, he wrote “F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back),” a kissoff to an unfaithful girlfriend.

Eamon sent the track to the New York radio station Hot 97, which began playing it on the air.
