About Bobby Vee
Proto-teen idol Bobby Vee's big break occurred under unfortunate circumstances when his group, the Shadows, filled in for Buddy Holly after the singer's tragic death in a plane crash.
Vee quickly went solo, and was supplied with a wealth of toe-tapping material by the cream of the Brill Building crop.
