Aztec Camera

Aztec Camera were a Scottish band formed in 1980, led by singer-songwriter Roddy Frame. They were one of the key acts of the early 80s indie pop scene.

Their debut album 'High Land, Hard Rain' (1983) is a classic. It featured 'Oblivious', 'Pillar to Post', and 'Walk Out to Winter'. Frame's songwriting was compared to Elvis Costello and Paul Weller.

They had a top 10 hit in 1988 with 'Somewhere in My Heart'. More albums followed through the 80s and 90s, with Roddy Frame continuing as a solo artist. Aztec Camera never became massive but they're deeply loved by those who know them.
