Arcadia

Arcadia were a side project formed by three members of Duran Duran — Simon Le Bon, Nick Rhodes, and Roger Taylor — in 1985 while the main band was on a break.

They released one album, 'So Red the Rose', in 1985. It had a different sound to Duran Duran — darker, more atmospheric, with orchestral arrangements. The singles 'Election Day' and 'Goodbye Is Forever' did well. The album went top 10 in the UK and America.

Arcadia only lasted for that one album. All three members returned to Duran Duran in 1986. But 'So Red the Rose' is still worth a listen for fans of that 80s sound.
