The daughter of trumpeter and bandleader Bobby Booker, Williams did background vocals for Curtis Hairston, Melba Moore, B.B.

& Q., Ca$hflow, Unlimited Touch, Bobby Brown, and Barbara Mitchell before joining High Fashion in 1982.
