Altered Images

Altered Images were a Scottish new wave band formed in 1979. Fronted by Clare Grogan, they became one of the most popular pop groups of the early 80s.

Their biggest hit was 'Happy Birthday' in 1981, which went to Number 2 in the UK. They followed it with 'I Could Be Happy', 'See Those Eyes', and 'Don't Talk to Me About Love'. All of them were top 10 hits.

Clare Grogan became a teen idol and also had an acting career, appearing in the film 'Gregory's Girl'. The band split in 1984 but their music is still fondly remembered as classic early 80s pop.
