Aimee Mann

Aimee Mann has traveled a path from Boston’s grimy punk clubs to worldwide renown.

Born in Richmond, VA, in 1960, Mann headed to the Berklee College of Music in Boston in her late teens, studying bass guitar and playing with local bands.

In 1983 she formed the New Wave act ’Til Tuesday, which hit big in 1985 with the spiky “Voices Carry.” They broke up in 1990 and Mann went solo, releasing the critically acclaimed Whatever in 1993 and following it up with 1995’s I’m With Stupid.
