About Adam Faith
Adam Faith was one of Britain's first proper teen idols. Born in London in 1940, he started his career as a child actor before moving into music in the late 1950s.
Between 1959 and 1966, he had 24 chart hits. His first Number 1 was 'What Do You Want?' in 1959, followed by 'Poor Me' in 1960. He was massive with teenage girls — good looking, nice voice, the complete package for the pre-Beatles era.
When the Beatles arrived in 1963, his chart run started to slow down. He moved into acting and later became a financial advisor, managing millions for other musicians.
Adam Faith died in 2003 at the age of 62.
